Bath and Somer Valley Enterprise Zone provides 50 hectares of space for industrial and commercial clients in the region.
The Enterprise Zone consists of a series of regeneration sites in central Bath and the Somer Valley. The Zone provides a mix of office and high-value manufacturing spaces across several sites in central Bath and the Somer Valley. The Zone is linked to the region’s world-leading engineering cluster, and has the potential to create 6,000 jobs across a range of sectors.
At the heart of the quarter is Bath Quays, where a new commercial centre and central business district is being established. Its iconic city-centre location is by the Riverside, a mere 10-minute walk from Bath Spa train station and direct links to London Paddington.
This development includes a selection of flexible workspace solutions, including TCN’s Newark Works. A new Grade A office, Number 1 Bath Quays, has also been added to the site. The Bath Quays area has the potential to provide around one million square feet of workspace.
Somer Valley is a former greenfield industrial development site and is located 30 minutes from Bath and Bristol. Its location on the A362 gives it direct access to the A37; this connects to the south via the A303, and the north via the M4 and M5 motorways. The site covers 13.5 hectares and has the potential to provide 540,000 square feet of bespoke workspace. This space is ideal for offices as well as the manufacturing sector.
