The West of England is where business and sustainability come together - and we showcased exactly that at a special business reception hosted as part of the Festival of Nature.
Organised by Invest Bristol & Bath in collaboration with the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority’s Nature Recovery team, the event brought together over 150 business leaders, regional partners, and changemakers to explore our ambitious plans for nature recovery across the region.
The reception also marked the official unveiling of the Capricorn Quay Floating Ecosystem - a pioneering nature-based solution delivered in Bristol Harbour through joint investment by Bristol City Council and the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority.
The message was clear: in the West of England, protecting our natural environment and driving economic growth go hand-in-hand. Investment in nature delivers not just a greener future, but a stronger, healthier, and more resilient region for everyone.
We’re proud to champion a place where innovation, business, and environmental leadership are thriving. This event reflected our region’s unique ability to lead by example - creating blueprints for nature-based solutions that others across the UK can follow.
