Venturefest Bristol and Bath – October 17th 2017

Over the last eight months Venturefest Bristol & Bath 2017 has explored with the region’s tech community the opportunities and barriers to business as cities digitise and become smart.

On October 17th we close this eight month exploration with a wide ranging conference combined with the region’s largest tech networking event.

Our event will bring together entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, city planners and businesses to;

hear from and meet some of the UK’s leading Smart City practioners

understand what are the business opportunities that are emerging from the digitisation of cities

gain practical insights for tech businesses in how to thrive at the forefront of innovation

network and collaborate

Over 40 international speakers and experts will come together to explore the ways in which new technology will impact on businesses as we move towards a smarter future. Through our work in the Venturefest Bristol and Bath series we have highlighted four key themes which will be covered by the conference:

Intelligent Infrastructure – does more data mean less security?

The Future of Work – how can we get our work/tech balance right for future proofing employment?

The Future of Mobility – Who will win and lose as CAV tech becomes the new normal?

Designing Cities for Citizens – How can technology empower individuals to get involved in the running of their cities?

These questions and more will be pored over by our experts and we need you to participate and help provide the answers.

Alongside the speaker programme workshops will equip delegates with the practical skills needed to thrive in a smart city future, while the region’s brightest businesses will showcase their products in the Marketplace and pre-selected companies will be able to pitch to a specially invited audience of tech investors.
